No Wednesday Evening Fellowship Meal in August: Because of the Homecoming festivities on Sunday, August 3, there will be no Wednesday evening Fellowship Meal on August 6.

Grand Adult Luncheon: Join us in Heritage Hall at 11:30 AM, Thursday, August 14, wearing your best Hawaiian outfit. Bring food to share and come prepared to have a good time of fellowship. You are invited to bring a prize or gift.

Quarterly Business Meeting: Our Quarterly Business Meeting will be August 17, at 6:00 PM in Heritage Hall. Please have your reports to the church off by Thursday, August 7.

Friends at Laurel Lodge: On Thursday, August 21, join us at 1:30 PM for a great time of fellowship and ministry with our friends at Laurel Lodge.

CFBC Family Night of Worship: Worship our Lord in music on Sunday, August 24, at 6:00 PM. This will be a fun night of worship followed by fellowship time in Heritage Hall. Bring a dessert to share.

Food Pantry Help Needed: The White County Food Pantry is looking for volunteers, especially men, who are able to help out on Thursdays from 10:00 AM to noon. If you would like to participate or need more information, contact Cheryl Oliver at (678) 866-5722.

Good News Club Volunteers: We still need boots-on-the-ground volunteers to help "some or all" for 2 1/2 hours when school is in session each Thursday beginning September 4 - February 26 to be line leaders, restroom takers, craft helpers, calm down helpers, etc. Contact the church office or Jennifer Wollett (jenniferwollett4@gmail.com) if you would like to participate.
 
Good News Club Candy Donation: The Good News Club is accepting donations of individual candies, such as, miniature candy bars, Snickers, Tootsie Rolls, popcorn packs, and Starburst. These will be used for teacher appreciation goodie bags at Thanksgiving to teach the Good News children to give back and be thankful.

Important dates for Good News Club:

• Mandatory GNC Training Meeting with Barbi Ridley, Saturday, August 16, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Meet at CFBC at 7:45 AM. We will leave the church promptly at 8:00 AM and ride the bus to Liberty Baptist Church.
