Announcements and Activities
TMU Ekklesisafest: CFBC will be participating in the annual Ekklesisafest (Church Fest) at Truett-McConnell University on Thursday, September 4, from 5:30–7:30 PM. Please call the church office if you would like to help.
“Discovering CFBC” Luncheon: Immediately following the worship service, Sunday, September 7, we will be having a luncheon for new and prospective members. Dr. Phil will give an overview of our church and will answer any questions you may have.
Ordination Council: All ordained men of the church are invited to participate in an Ordination Council for deacon candidate Kevin Wollett on Sunday, September 7, at 2:30 PM in the Choir Room. (Council Members, please arrive at 2:00 PM).

Grand Adult Luncheon
Announcement
The date for the Grand Adult Luncheon has been moved to Monday, September 8 at 11:30 AM.
Grand Friends Day: This month we will visit Laurel Lodge on Tuesday, September 9, 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM. You are invited to join us as we visit with the residents. Susan Reynolds and Linda Smith have volunteered the gift.

It's that time again for another Brotherhood meeting. Join us, Thursday, September 11, at 6:30 PM in Heritage Hall wearing your favorite sports team attire. Our speaker will be Haley Thomas, Doctor of Pharmacy. Haley is the granddaughter of Ray Black and is the pharmacist at Cleveland Drug Company. To RSVP, call the church office or register online.
New Committee Meeting: Following the worship service, Sunday, September 14, all committee members will meet for a short organizational meeting for the purpose of electing new officers and to review job descriptions.
WCBA Annual Meeting: The White County Baptist Association annual meeting will be Monday, September 15, at 5:30 PM at Friendship Baptist Church. Call the church office if you would like to be a messenger.
Called Business Meeting: Immediately following the worship service on Sunday, September 14, we will have a special called business meeting to approve messengers to the WCBA Annual Meeting.

College and Career Cornhole Tournament


Good News Club Volunteers: We still need boots-on-the-ground volunteers to help "some or all" for 2 1/2 hours when school is in session each Thursday beginning September 4 - February 26 to be line leaders, restroom takers, craft helpers, calm down helpers, etc. Contact the church office or Jennifer Wollett (jenniferwollett4@gmail.com) if you would like to participate.
Good News Club Candy Donation: The Good News Club is accepting donations of individual candies, such as, miniature candy bars, Snickers, Tootsie Rolls, popcorn packs, and Starburst. These will be used for teacher appreciation goodie bags at Thanksgiving to teach the Good News children to give back and be thankful.

MEN OF THE CHURCH
There is a Sunday School Class for you, regardless of your age.
At the moment, we do not have a men's-only Sunday school class, though if you would be interested in a men's-only class, we would be interested in starting one. Please notify the church office or email our Sunday School Director, Fred Himstedt, at fhimstedt@juno.com if you are interested.
