Family Night of Worship: Join us Sunday, August 23 at 6:00 PM for our annual Family Night of Worship! We look forward to an evening of worship, music, and fellowship as we praise the Lord together. Following the service, we will enjoy a dessert fellowship! Everyone is invited to stay and fellowship with us. Please bring a dessert to share. We hope you’ll join us for this special evening!
IMB Missionary Guest Speakers: On Wednesday, August 26, at 6:30 PM, IMB missionaries “Duncan and Ellie” will share with us about their ministry in Central Asia. Everyone is invited!
Covered-Dish Fellowship Meal: Join us Wednesday, September 2, at 5:30 PM in Heritage Hall for good food and fellowship. It’s a covered dish, so bring enough to share. Setup/Clean up crew: Neal and Pam Walden, Rodney and Debbie Willis, and Dave Wall.
Called Business Meeting: On Sunday, September 13, at 6:00 PM in Heritage Hall, there will be a special called business meeting to consider the Constitution and Bylaws Committee’s proposed revisions of CFBC Bylaws Article II, Sections 1-4, and Article IV, Section 4. Copies of the revisions are available in the church office.
WCBA Annual Meeting: The White County Baptist Association Annual Meeting will be Monday, September 14, at 5:30 PM at Helen First Baptist Church. Messengers have been approved already. However, anyone can attend!
Wednesday Ladies' Bible Study: On Wednesday, September 16, beginning at 10:00 AM, the Ladies' Bible Study will resume its weekly sessions.
Sunday Evening Ladies Bible Study: Ladies, mark your calendars! Starting September 20th at 5:00 PM, we are kicking off a 5-week study of Philippians using Beth Moore’s The Surpassing Value of Knowing Christ. Workbooks are $20.00; sign up by calling the church office by August 30.

Senior Center Meals Help Needed: Vernon and Cheryl Oliver have temporarily stepped away from delivering meals to the Senior Center on the last Thursday of each month due to Vernon's health. Grand Friends at Laurel Lodge: Join us and visit with our friends at the lodge on Thursday, August 20, at 1:30 PM. Gift bags by Pat McDuffie.
August 24, 8:30 AM - The Wayne Rollins Planetarium, Young Harris College: This promises to be an interesting trip as we visit the planetarium at Young Harris College. Following the program we will enjoy lunch together at a restaurant in the Young Harris area. The cost is $10.00 per person. Please make your reservation by August 17. Seating is limited to twenty eight passengers, so reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Be sure to sign-up early to reserve your seat!

CFBC Children's Ministry

Volunteers Needed
for the 2026–2027 School Year.
We are seeking volunteers to serve in our Good News Club during the upcoming 2026–2027 school year. This is a wonderful opportunity to share God’s love and the message of Jesus Christ with local children.
Program Details:
* Club meetings will be held after school every Thursday on full school days at Tesnatee Gap Elementary.
* Meeting time: 2:30 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.
* Good News Club will meet from September 3, 2026 through February 25, 2027.
