Deacon Nominations

The Deacon Nomination process has begun. As you consider this important responsibility, we encourage you to prayerfully seek God’s guidance in identifying men who faithfully serve the Lord, demonstrate Christlike character, and actively support the ministry and mission of our church. Suggestions may include ordained men who have previously served as deacons, as well as men who may be eligible for ordination.
Please note that the following individuals are not eligible for deacon nomination or election at this time: members of the ministerial staff, church employees, ordained ministers actively serving in their calling, active deacons currently serving a term, and deacons rotating off after recently completing a term. Deacons currently not eligible for nomination include Jimmy Armour, Ricky Barrett, Jerry Battle, Nate Carpenter, Roy Evans, Donnie Greenway, Gerald Hendrix, Fred Himstedt, Mitchell Martin, Russ Nash, Sam Pelletier, Mike Roberts, Neal Walden, and Kevin Wollett.
The office of deacon is a vital ministry of servant leadership, spiritual maturity, faithful support, and compassionate care for others. Please take time to consider thoughtfully and prayerfully those whom you believe would serve faithfully and effectively in this important role. Members may list up to seven men for consideration as potential deacon candidates. Suggestion forms are available at the church and should be returned on or before Sunday, June 14, 2026.
